Vice-Chancellor for Research and Technology Emphasized in a Meeting with Marvdasht Islamic Azad University:
Research and Technological Collaboration Between Universities Creates Special Production Capacity in the Province
The Vice-Chancellor for Research and Technology of Shiraz University of Medical Sciences, in a meeting with the President of Marvdasht Islamic Azad University, examined the capacities and capabilities of both universities for establishing joint collaborations, particularly in the field of health technology.
According to the Public Relations Office of the Vice-Chancellery for Research and Technology of Shiraz University of Medical Sciences, the Vice-Chancellor for Research and Technology, while outlining the performance of this office over the past year, stated that research and technological collaboration between universities can provide a special capacity for the scientific advancement of the province.
Dr. Hamid Mohammadi, referring to the infrastructure described by the officials of Marvdasht Islamic Azad University, added that this institution has the features necessary for establishing a entity such as a science and technology park and has the potential for joint collaborations with health technology developers.
Regarding the capacities of Shiraz University of Medical Sciences, he also stated: The presence of distinguished research and technology faculty members and the potential of the Shiraz Health Science and Technology Park in connecting with investors, along with the infrastructure of Marvdasht Islamic Azad University, can pave the way for the production of knowledge-based products, entrepreneurship, and revenue generation.
Dr. Sirus Farsi, President of Marvdasht Islamic Azad University, welcoming joint technological collaborations with Shiraz University of Medical Sciences, called for the preparation and submission of a proposal to this institution for expert reviews with the aim of signing a memorandum of understanding for cooperation.
In this meeting, Dr. Amin Ramezani, Director of Health Technology Development at Shiraz University of Medical Sciences, and Dr. Esmaeil Mirzaei and Dr. Ghasem Moghimi, Vice-Chancellors of Shiraz Health Science and Technology Park, were also present and exchanged views with the officials of Marvdasht Islamic Azad University.
