The meeting was hosted by the Research and Technology Deputy of Shiraz University of Medical Sciences, during which the most important concerns of knowledge-based companies in the health sector, particularly those of companies producing medical equipment, were examined. Strengthening interaction between knowledge-based companies and hospitals and facilitating the process of obtaining the required permits were among the other topics raised at the meeting.

Dr. Mohammadi, Research and Technology Deputy of Shiraz University of Medical Sciences and Head of the Health Science and Technology Park, and Engineer Sharafi, Chairman of the Board of the Fars Knowledge-Based Companies Association, discussed and exchanged views at the meeting on the obstacles in the path of the companies' activities and practical solutions to resolve these issues. One of the main areas of agreement was the creation of a mechanism for more effective communication between the needs of medical centers and the capacity of knowledge-based companies. It was also decided that the Fars Knowledge-Based Companies Association would provide a list of companies and members that have financial claims against hospitals, so that these claims could be facilitated and collected through the cooperation and follow-up of relevant organizations.

Furthermore, Dr. Mirzaei, Scientific and Technology Deputy of the Health Science and Technology Park, announced that the next meeting of the Health Commission would be held with the presence of officials from Shiraz University of Medical Sciences. This meeting will be hosted by the Health Science and Technology Park in cooperation with the Association, and the topics raised, the approvals of the session, and practical solutions for resolving the issues of knowledge-based companies in the health sector are to be followed up there.
